Andreas Schumacher         Sigune Lauffer

Cello and guitar is a new kind of instrumentation for chamber music, finding an ever growing audience. Sigune Lauffer and Andreas Schumacher have been playing together since 1996. Their widely spanned repertory contains mainly works that were transcribed from literature for other instruments, but also original compositions like the sonata by R. Gnattali. This contemporary composer has discovered for himself the unique sound of that instrumental pairing. Other pieces the musicians perform include works by M.Ravel, G.Fauré and A. Piazolla and others.
